Height of Black Womanhood

 

This conference provides an opportunity for Howard and the surrounding community to come together and uplift the beauty and spirit of Black women.

 

This event celebrates women of the African Diaspora, and honors the memory of NCNW’s President Emerita Ms. Dorothy I Height. This conference also serves as a commencing ceremony for Howard Section as we honor a year of restoration and a future to pass our flame forward for generations to come.

 

The conference consist of three events a brunch, gala, and workshops.

NCNW Week

NCNW week takes place twice within an academic year. Once in the Fall and once in the Spring. Howard section presents a week of purposful programs, events and community service for N-sisters as well as the Howard and DC community.

N-duction Ceremony 

Every year the National Council of Negro Women, Howard Section inducts new members to be apart of our legacy. We hold a ceremony each fall to show appreciation to our new amembers, as well as our current members.
