The Height of Black Womanhood Conference

This conference serves as a commencing ceremony for our Howard Section as we honor a year of empowerment and growth within our organization. As we propel forward into this new decade, we encompass the legacy and rich history of NCNW. Dedicated to service, we continue to advocate and strive to heights by

uplifting all women. Our conference has the goal to empower Howard Women in our section, specifically D.C.natives and freshmen of Howard University. We want to help freshmen transition smoothly into success!

Our conference consists of an eventful weekend! It will provide an opportunity for Howard and the surrounding community to come together and celebrate the success, leadership and spirit of the Howard Women students, faculty, staff and administration.

​

The conference consist of three main events a gala, workshops, and brunch!

 

 The Gala will be a night of festivities with entertainment, food, and music celebrating Black women and the legacy of the National Council of Negro Women. 

​

The interactive workshops will cover a range of topics in Health and Wellness,Women Empowerment, Social Issues, Goal Setting, and Career Development that will be geared towards collegiate woman and their communities.

​

Our brunch will be a ceremony to honor our recipients and members with awards and recognition, and award our scholarship to a deserving student. We will also celebrate the legacy of Dr. Dorothy I. Height and other prominent Black women.
