Membership Info
Membership for NCNW, Howard Section occurs every school year during the Fall semester.
3-3-3 Commitment
Sister Sessions
Following the Membership Drive, all N-sisters participate in at least 3 sister sessions. Sister Sessions serve as a way to acclimate new N-sisters to the purpose and history of NCNW while allowing veteran N-sisters to recommit themselves to another year of sisterhood and service. Each sister session will be scheduled to take no more than 2 hours.
Events
Every N-sister, new and old, must attend at least 3 events per semester. Members are more than welcome to attend more than the required number, as our events are designed to foster connection, growth, and engagement within NCNW. These moments not only strengthen our sisterhood but also give us opportunities to celebrate our history, culture, and mission together.
Community Service
Community service lies at the heart of NCNW’s mission. Every member is required to complete 3 service projects per semester, but we encourage sisters to go above and beyond. We have a legacy to uphold, as NCNW continues to set the standard for excellence in service—earning recognition such as Service Organization of the Year. Our dedication to service is not just a commitment but a reflection of who we are and what we stand for as an organization.
All NCNW members must adhere to our 3-3-3 rule. All members must attend 3 sister sessions, 3 community service events, and 3 programs per semester that pertain to NCNW. General body meetings will count as extra credit toward the 3-3-3 rule.
